“I am inspired by the everlasting development of music. The many abstract ways in which music can be displayed and performed fascinates me, also the infinite possibilities and combinations it creates demonstrates extreme complexity. It has been a love of mine ever since I’ve been able to walk; creating music has always come easy to me so I thought it could be extraordinary if I used this passion to accompany my more artistic side. When I design and create my work, I pick and choose the musical elements that speak to me the most in that instance and I thoughtfully apply them within my work, using the best of my time to incorporate every single intricate detail of the artwork I create. I want to inspire people and express the beauty of music in my own way.”
Rayleigh based artist Yazz Brown was born and raised in England. After completing her Art GCSE at a grade 8 standard, Yazz began working on making her art career flourish. As an avid music fan herself, Yazz plays the piano, electric guitar and bass. Using music to inspire her work, Yazz’s art blends the worlds of music and visual art. Her dynamic use of colour and texture invites viewers to experience the unspoken melodies hidden within each piece. Yazz’s work reflects her lifelong passion for both visual art and music and aspires to establish herself as a fresh voice in the contemporary art scene.
